A manifest is currently required.\n\nThe Spee-Dee driver uses the manifest to verify the shipment and confirm the packages being picked up. The package count shown on the manifest should match the total number of packages tendered to the driver.\n\nAt this time, there is no API endpoint available for generating or printing a manifest.\n\nTo generate a manifest:\n\n1. Log in to the Spee-Dee ShipIt web portal.\n    \n2. Open the **Orders** tab.\n    \n3. Select **Reports** near the top of the page.\n    \n4. Generate the manifest report using the applicable shipping date.\n    \n\n---\n\n> **Manifest note:** If your workflow cannot access the web portal, the Integrations team may approve the use of a manifest summary sheet. \n  \n\n---\n\n## Why are my labels showing a tracking number of \"01\"?\n\nWhen an order is first created through the API, each item is temporarily assigned a tracking number that matches its item number, such as `01`, `02`, or `03`.\n\nImmediately after the order is created, an automated process replaces the temporary value with the complete Spee-Dee tracking number.\n\nYour integration should poll the order items endpoint after creating an order and confirm that each tracking number has changed from its temporary item number.\n\nOnce the tracking number is no longer `01`, `02`, `03`, or another temporary item number, the label is ready to be generated and printed.\n\n> **Warning:** Printing a label before the complete tracking number has been assigned may result in processing delays or the shipment being returned. \n  \n\n---\n\n## Reference Field Useage\n\nCustomer's have access to pass two reference fields by default that will print on the label as well as the possibility of a custom label set if requested.\n\nALL customers should NOT use `Reference Number 2` as it contains important information for generating the tracking number on an order.\n\nCustomer's can use `Reference Number 1` and `Reference Number 3` which will print on the label.
